Named after the marvelous foliage of a typical tree of the region, the small and chic gourmet restaurant „Albizzia” of Castle Hertelendy offers 40 seats. There is also a wonderful terrace towards the garden Furthermore the hotel offers an excellent wine cellar which invites guests for wine and cheese tastings.

New chef in the Castle – the gastronomy has been renewed

Our restaurant has a new chef starting in 2023 in spring. Chef Roland Tóth returned to Hungary after 10 years. After many years of Swiss experience, he brings new energy and creativity to the Castle’s kitchen. Among other things, he worked at the Bären by Schäfer Restaurant near Lake Zurich.

His passion and dedication are palpable. He works with tireless enthusiasm to enhance the guests’ culinary experience through the senses.

He attaches great importance to sustainability and strives to ensure that vegetables and fruits get from the farmer to the guest’s plate as quickly as possible. By building a relationship with the farmers of the region, he also created his own garden in the Castle property. Come and discover the creativity of our new chef!

Our restaurant is open all-day round and offers numerous culinary experiences, also in addition to the main meals.
